“And we’re back! Just like The Five Musketeers!” – Gary King, The World’s End
Those were my opening remarks at our live SGU recording from Dragon Con this past Saturday. It is always a special treat when the five of us are on the stage together. There is that extra element of being able to play off of each other’s visual cues (which we rarely have when recording at our respective homes) PLUS knowing that Steve has fewer editing possibilities adds an “edge” to these shows. So as a little homage to our very fun time at Dragon Con 2014, here are the top 5 photos I was able to snap as I busily raced around the multi-hotel complex for the better part of 3 days in downtown Atlanta, Georgia:

Number 5: Ratatouille
Creativity via simplicity is a winner in my book!

Number 4: “The Doctor”
One of the better representations at a con FULL of Doctors Who.

Number 3: Planet of the Apes
One of my favorite classics, and these costumes were the real deal!
And for the record, the sign behind them reads: “Zaius 3:16”

Number 2: Gandalf
“Fly you fool!” Perhaps the line should have been: “Fly, you fool or fraud!”

Number 1: Batman
Impressive. Best superhero costume I saw, bar none.
And for good measure, here is a group of honorable mentions:

Really colorful, a wonderful display of Jedi technology. Looked even better in person.

I wish my lighting was better. This costume was wicked good!

I have no idea what genre this is.
I don’t care, these costumes were very cool!

Were I able to get the Spartans to pose, this would have made the top five.

The Beast from “Beauty and The Beast”.
Just look at those eyes glow!
